Improvements to A1104

Works to improve the A1104 in Maltby le Marsh will start on Monday 21 October.

As part of these essential works, we’ll be rebuilding a mile and a half long stretch of the A1104 which won’t be a small task. In fact, the team will be using over 8,000 tonnes of road building materials to complete the job. While on-site, we’ll also be carrying out minor footway reconstruction works and earthworks to lower the verge.

This project coincides with our improvements to Old Roman Bank between Sandilands and Chapel St Leonards as part of an effort to make people’s coastal journeys smoother and safer. Even though the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority isn't established yet, we're already seeing benefits to having a devolution deal with both these projects being paid for by a portion of the capital funding allocated to the county council.

Below are the details about the project:

Dates and timeframes

Monday 21 October for up to nine weeks

Traffic management

A combination of daytime and night-time road closures will be in place throughout the works:

·      Monday 21 October to late November – night-time road closure from 7pm to 7am

·      Monday 2 December to mid-December – daytime closure from 8:30am to 6:30pm

Temporary traffic signals will also be in use as needed during the project.

Please note that these dates are subject to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
